How to install AWS CLI tools on Ubuntu

AWS command line interface (CLI) tools are based on Python and is made available in pip by AWS. Ubuntu has then created package for the AWS CLI tool and is now installable via apt.

You can easily install AWS CLI on Ubuntu with these below steps without having to manually install pip and all the dependencies:

  1. Update apt's package list.
    $ sudo apt update
  2. Install awscli package.
    $ sudo apt install -y awscli
    [sudo] password for user:
