Steps to rename a Windows PC in Windows 11:
- Sign in to Windows 11 with an administrator account.
- Open Settings using Win + I.
- Open System → About.
- Select Rename this PC.
- Enter a new computer name.
Keep the name to 15 characters or fewer, avoid spaces, and use only letters, numbers, and hyphens.
- Select Next.
- Select Restart now to apply the rename, or Restart later to delay the restart.
Restarting ends open sessions and can lose unsaved work.
- Confirm the new Device name under Settings → System → About after the restart.
