KDE provides a Night Color feature to adjust the screen’s color temperature. Similar to Night Shift on iOS and macOS or Night Mode on Android, it reduces eyestrain by lowering blue light levels and providing a warmer viewing experience.

Beyond simple toggles, Night Color supports customizable temperature and schedules, letting users set specific times or follow sunset and sunrise patterns. This flexibility helps maintain visual comfort throughout different parts of the day.

All Night Color options are available via System Settings. Personalizing these parameters allows users to align display behavior with individual preferences, environmental conditions, and routines, potentially improving comfort and sleep quality.

Steps to configure Night Color in KDE:

  1. Open System Settings from the application launcher.
  2. Click on Display and Monitor on the sidebar menu.
  3. Go to Night Color configuration panel.
  4. Click on Activate Night Color checkbox to enable Night Color.
  5. Slide to set the color temperature.
  6. Click on the Activation Time select list.
  7. Select or set the time period to enable Night Color.
  8. Click on the Apply button to activate and save the configuration.
