1. Add ELK repository to yum.
    1. Download and install public signing key for ELK repository.
      # rpm --import https://artifacts.elastic.co/GPG-KEY-elasticsearch
    2. Create repository file in /etc/yum.repos.d/elasticsearch.repo with these details.

      name=Elasticsearch repository for 6.x packages

  2. Install Java Runtime Environment.
    # yum install --assumeyes java-1.8.0-openjdk
  3. Install Logstash package via yum.
    # yum install --assumeyes logstash

  4. Start logstash automatically during boot.
    # systemctl enable logstash
    Created symlink from /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/logstash.service to /etc/systemd/system/logstash.service.
  5. Start logstash service.
    # systemctl start logstash
